Privacy Policy

Last updated July 6, 2026

PostUp is built to be a private space, not a platform funded by advertising or data collection. This page explains what we collect, why, and who can see it.

What we collect

  • Your name, email address, and a securely hashed password.
  • Photos and captions you upload, and comments you post.
  • Your RSVP response, if a PostUp has RSVPs enabled.

We don't use any third-party analytics or tracking scripts, and we don't run ads on PostUp.

Why we collect it

Only to run the PostUp you're part of: showing you photos and comments, letting you post your own, sending invite emails on a Host's behalf, and remembering your RSVP.

Who can see it

Each PostUp is invite-only — only people a Host has added can log in and see it. Within a PostUp, individual photos are marked public or private by a Host:

  • Private photos and all comments are visible only to people logged in as a guest of that PostUp.
  • Public photos are visible to anyone with the link, without logging in — this powers the invite email preview and a first look at the page before joining.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to build a profile of you. There's no algorithm ranking or boosting content, and no one else's PostUp can see into yours.

Where it's stored

Photos are stored with our cloud storage provider (Cloudflare R2). Everything else — accounts, comments, RSVPs — lives in our database. Both are accessible only to PostUp's infrastructure, not to other users.

Deleting your data

A PostUp's Host can delete the whole PostUp at any time, which permanently removes its photos and comments. If you'd like your account removed entirely, email us at postup.page@gmail.com and we'll take care of it — this isn't yet a self-serve button in the app.

Photos of children

PostUp is meant to be used by adults inviting other adults — it's common for a PostUp to include photos of children (a birthday, a family gathering), but the service itself isn't directed at children and doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as PostUp changes. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
